Hey there

I'm looking for some artists who can design mecha like characters for my Bomberman Clone which's called "Nukeman". Like I said I would like mecha style but I'm not fixed to that. I will attach some screenshots as soon as I can but until then It would be really great to hear what the community would be able to offer to me and the other way around :)

Hey,

Let me start out by saying that I'm a programmer by trade, and unfortunately have zero skill artistically.

I am venturing into a small multiplayer project that is initially going to be 2d, but may (if I can get the plumbing right), become a 3d effort later on (we are talking many many months away on that). So I need some concept art sprites.

Again, at the risk of sounding like a complete dunce, I need a sprite (a manga dude perhaps) with 8 direction images (don't worry about animation yet, just N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W and NW will do). Obviously (?) I would like the image in PNG format with a transparent background 64x64 (but I might be persuaded by 128x128), and maybe a small amount of gradient transparency to blend in nicely with my background image(s).

As the first iteration of the game is going to be open source, my budget is next to zero (although I do have some contingency if the quality is good enough).

Have I come to the right place? Right now, this is an opportunity to do something new as you would really be starting with a totally clean slate. The world (or my world that I'm programming) is your oyster!

Please fire any additional questions as necessary, and once more, I'd like to apologize if this is a bit vague. Like I say, right now, this really is a clean slate. All I am really doing is creating the engine, and would like some decent graphics to back it up.

Oh, right. I was drawing that without a refrence(I know what that ship looks like by memory(not that well though)becuase I watch that show alot), thanks for pointing that out, NicAdi. I was also trying to make it as small as possible so that the other sprites wouldnt have to be totally massive to match the scale of the player(you play as the Defiant), without making it look to weird, but I *stamps FAIL here* at that. Well I will try and re-do the sprite to be more like the real one. Thanks again for pointing out the flaws.

The contour is not very accurate: for instance the "nose" is too long, and the nacelles are too short. There are some other proportions wrong too (as well as general line), but these are the most prominent ones…

Discontinued huh ? Well you could ask somebody else to co-operated and help you with the coding and stuff. And you should take a break, maybe you will restore your interest. Doing too much things make it no fun,you know. Just try to get back to your project sometimes.

Don't worry about the looooooong absence, I was busy too with the mid-term exams so there ain't much things happen here
